As we transition from children to adults, we view the world in a different light. As a child, we have certain expectations of how adulthood would be like. As adults, we realise how tainted the angel child within us becomes. As time passes, it gives way, cultivating instead demons that lurk in the shadows. Our demons are filled with the anger and rage of unfulfilled expectations, feast on the fury of broken promises and unfulfilled dreams. Yet we continue to live on with them inside of us, realising that it is part of what makes us human in the end.
