Ink on Acrylic
29.7 x 29.5 x 21cm
Inspired by the Rorschach inkblot test, I created a series of images that are open to the audience's perception and interpretation. The small choices we make in our day to day life can have big impacts on our future and shape the way we see the world and our thinking patterns. This is reflected in how the audience interacts with the artwork; the person wielding the light gets to choose how to use it and where to shine it. The slightest shift in angle can lead to a different shadow being cast on the wall, and the effects of this are oftentimes hard to predict. This is reminiscent of how the path that our day to day decisions lead us to is difficult to for-see.

Decalcomania ;
a technique used by some surrealist artists which involves pressing paint between sheets of paper.
I focused on the process of creating , by experimenting and trying various possibilities to create so many different textures and effects as well as playing with the concept of chance so that everyone of the print are as unique as can be .
The amount of times I tried and tested yielded a couple of prints that held imagery and I was curious to see if what people saw in them . I went around asking people and I had some really interesting responses . Some even saw movement from these still prints. This experiment just made me even more fascinated about the human brains and how differently it works for each individual .
